I have many images of my ancestors that fascinate me. I often think about old photos and our connections with them. If we have photos but no longer know the people or stories connected to them, we can't help but invent our own stories to connect to the images. I dug into the wax on this piece to show the color that I imagine from the day the photo was taken beginning to reveal a story.
